Abstract Endeavors Launching in Annapolis

Hey arties! 

I know I have been MIA for a long time, as I have been trying to get my home studio set up, along with some clients and shows lined up.

I am hopeful I will soon have more time to update you here on all the things I have been working on.

I have officially decided to start a real business offering art lessons and classes to the kiddos and to grown ups, should any want one. I am also going to offer a birthday package.

My goal is to start out small teaching an after school class and then build from there, so keep your paint brushes crossed!

Street Art Project in Annapolis, MD

Hey everyone,

Sorry I about not having an update the past couple of months, but I have been damn busy with art projects and have not had much time to just sit and be. Lucky for you I have a headache today and have time to write an update and what an update it will be!

I had the honor of being asked to help design and implement a street art project here in Annapolis, MD on a 7 ft tall fiberglass chicken!

Seems the local arts council allowed a group to place the decorated chickens all around West street, and my kiddo's school had a chicken sitting around since last May, which needed a little direction to fully hatch. So, I accepted the invitation to participate and here is how it turned out in photos!

We had 157 children and all the staff participate by adding an international flag to the bird. It is the only bird within the project to have that level of participation. MICH stands at nearly 8 ft tall with his Mohawk and has traveled the world at least twice, based on his passport stamps and flag collection.

His Mohawk spells MICH in nautical flags, to pay honor to the Annapolis area. MICH is indeed one of the most colorful birds on the block, and we are all very pleased with the way it turned out. 

MICH is currently standing outside of the Metropolitan Restaurant on West Street in Annapolis, MD. It is the coolest thing artistically I have ever done!

Something to Crow About at the Blue Rooster Café

How are you?

I know it has been awhile since we have communicated, but I just completed a cross country move and it has been somewhat of a nightmare!

But rest assured, I am getting back into the swing of things and should be settled into my new studio space soon to begin some new projects. I am still looking for the boxes of supplies and have my fingers crossed they show up soon.

What have I been up to you ask?

Well, I have some art hanging here in Annapolis at the Blue Rooster Café. I have taken the art from the Jerry's exhibit to display, with the hopes some of it will find new homes.

50% of the proceeds will benefit the Montessori International Children's House, because it is a great school and it is what I do!

The Blue Rooster is like a coffee spot "Cheers" where everyone knows your name. The staff is spot on with customer service, and take the time to look you in the eyes and remember who you are the next time you pop in for a treat.
It has a funky art vibe, and they have amazing coffee and food. Go check out their website for more information and if you are in the area, pop by for a bite to eat. It is a great place with amazing people.

As for the move, my art space has been downsized a bit, but I have a great deck to use that overlooks a few trees. I find it relaxing and inspirational.

Annapolis is fantastic and I am feeling at home already. There is something about the people here in this atmosphere that has my artistic batteries charged back up. I can't wait to get started on my next endeavor.
